MEXICO: Republic, 8 reales essai, ND (1885), Dupriez-pg.37 #13; Buttrey-84, machine trial, struck in brass, by the Belgian firm of Mennig Freres during the preparation of the presses for the San Luis Potosi Mint, a lovely example of this rarely encountered type, UNC, R. An example of this type hammered for $1,860 in Stack's Bowers & Ponterio Sale 172 (Nov. 2012).
