GERMANY: AR medal, 1911, 50mm, silver medal by Isler, Strasbourg, GRAF v. WEDEL KAISERL. STATTHALTER in ELS-LOTHR. PROTEKTOR, bust in military uniform of Count Wedel bearing his many decorations // I. HAGENAUER AUSST. F. d. HOTEL u. GASTWIRT GEWERBE u. verw. BERUFE around a wreath of rushes; in the center, coat of arms of Lippe, with original case of issue, EF, S. Karl von Wedel (1842-1919) was a Prussian cavalry general and German diplomat. He was the son of the Oldenburg Lieutenant General and Minister of State Friedrich Wilhelm von Wedel (1798-1872) and his wife Bertha Sophie Amalie Pauline, nee von Glaubitz .
